Anja Henche, Founding Principal, B. Arch, M.Arch

Modern interior design and architecture are Anja’s passions, with a special love of European classic design. She strives to exceed her clients expectations by creating well designed, functional, and beautiful spaces that reflect her clients personal lifestyles and tastes. She greatly enjoys working closely with her clients to refine their aesthetic, and goals. Anja taps into her extensive knowledge of
styles and different design periods to create special personalized spaces for them to thrive in.

AH Design was established in 2005, after working with Paul Merrick in
Vancouver, and has been specializing in custom residential and interior design ever since.

Anja provides complete design packages, with detailed drawings and
specifications to build from. She has established strong contacts in the industry, among builders, trades and suppliers.

Anja grew up in Basel, Switzerland, developing her love of design and culture while travelling extensively throughout Europe. She moved to Paris at 18 to study architecture and design at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France, then went on to finish her studies in Germany, earning a Masters degree in Architecture from the Technical University of Berlin.

Upon completing her degree Anja embarked upon a career in architecture in Berlin, before contacts led her into film design and production. Before moving to Canada, Anja was leading the production team for a well known German television series.

Many long lasting relationships with her clients have been built over the years, and Anja always looks forward to developing new ones.
